Rachel Maddow has linked the Trumps’ anti-Semitic courtship with a wave of white supremacist shootings.
video:
Mr Maddow said:
They don’t just happen to be connected on the news. they are connected. Buffalo white supremacist genocide, El Paso white supremacist genocide, Pittsburgh white supremacist genocide. There is currently a mass murder by white supremacists in Allen, Texas. In a backwards, embarrassed and disgusted country, you also have these obvious connections, right?
Between these bleeding, jagged right-wing mass violence and the bleeding jagged political right. The most mainstream electoral Republican politics possible. It is also the most mainstream and most successful right-wing media. But also this former president and his family, his former officials, and how he’s now running for president again. They are telling the people that a literal Hitler is an outspoken anti-Semite who puts the Star of David, the Jewish Star on the heads of his enemies and that is who we need to go after. They are inviting such people to events with top government officials and all this is happening while the person is running for president again.
And it’s happening in this constant wave of white supremacist-motivated genocide. Are those two different things? Are these two things a very disturbing parallel that will never and never meet? Or is one of these the anchor of the other? Both of these things happening simultaneously in our country Does that fact, frankly, fuel both? It only fuels racial extremism and anti-Semitism as political tools and violence in the streets. Do they work together? If so, how do they work? If they work together, how do you stop it?
CNN elevates Trump by giving him a national town hall, but IOn Golden Hour, Rachel Maddow is telling the truth about Trump’s courtship of white supremacists and anti-Semites.
CNN is trying to normalize Trump and treat him like just another candidate. CNN please ignore the racism and bigotry Trump and his kids are literally hosting.
Republicans have had anti-Semites and white supremacists long before Trump, but the failed ex-president has brought them to the surface and emboldened.
By linking Trump with the white supremacist company he runs, Rachel Maddow went where CNN never wanted to.
