“Many of you have asked, but I have avoided the question…so I wanted to share that I am taking some time away from my wife to focus on myself and my personal growth. It’s just,” Thompson, 39, shared.via Instagram Saturday, April 22nd.
The duo got married in 2019 the ninth season of MAFSMoreThe pair said “I do” shortly after meeting at the altar lifetime reality showAlthough there is some drama explosive argument, they decided to stay together at the end of filming. After filming the show in North Carolina, they moved to San Francisco and later moved to Colorado together.
In an April announcement, Thompson stressed that the separation was best for him. “It’s not easy, but it’s necessary. It may be hard to take this step, but I know what it takes to be the best version of myself,” he wrote. “I don’t know what the future holds for Beth and I, but I know we will come out stronger anyway. #selfcare #mentalhealth #personaldevelopment #personalgrowth #takingtimeforme #marriedatsight.”
In an Instagram story, Thompson answered questions about the separation, revealing that Vice, 36, kicked him out after many fights.
“At first it wasn’t [a mutual separation]Beth is actually the first one to leave,” the tech guru said on Saturday. I told them out of anger and frustration, but I don’t feel I got anything in return on how to fix this and move forward, so she’s been gone for four weeks. I think it’s better at this point to focus on yourself and try to be a better version of yourself.”
Thompson’s social media message may have surprised fans as the couple celebrated their fourth wedding anniversary March 23rd.

“Happy 4th baby! I can’t believe we did something so crazy 4 years ago that it changed our lives forever,” said Bice. Instagram at the time. “Sometimes I forget we met on a TV show because life seems so good with you! I love us and love our life together! Anniversary Congratulations!!!!!!!! Thank you everyone for following us and being a part of our journey!”
Later that month, the tech guru shared his tribute to Bice. “Selfie time! with caption A smiling snap of him and his wife.
Thompson admitted that he felt the need to portray their marriage as better than it actually was. decided to be honest about the situation.
“When I was away from Beth for three weeks, I knew I needed to take a step back, but I had absolutely no desire to fix this,” he said. All I really heard was accusations, and I’m not perfect…but I need to take care of myself now.”
Thompson added that separation isn’t always the right choice and she’s working on ways to control her anger and discuss things in a healthy way.
“I don’t think growing and evolving apart is always the best solution. …I’m trying to do this in a really clever way,” he said. I’m not trying to do it.”
He added that one particular thing kept them from taking a break.
