Roy Wood Jr. didn’t hold back on any subject at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner. Here are his three best jokes.
1).buy clarence thomas
Roy Wood Jr. “Do you know how rich you have to be to buy a Supreme coat? A black coat on top of that! We only have two in stock, and he owns half of the stock.” We can all see Clarence Thomas, but he belongs to billionaire Harlan Crow. And that’s the NFT. pic.twitter.com/5EwzwciScQ

Wood Jr. said:
You can’t lie to black people. what do you call it Anti-CRT policies are an attack on black history and an attempt to erase black contributions from the history books. That’s it.
You’re trying to erase a black person, but as long as that black person is Clarence Thomas, a lot of black people don’t care about being erased. The billionaire named Harlan Crowe flew Clarence Thomas around the world on an unreported trip like an Instagram model. He paid for Mom’s house. He paid for Mom’s house. I have to give it away to a millionaire. Billionaires, be relentless. People always buy something new. When you think of everything you can buy on earth, millionaires come up with new things. Space rocket, you bought Twitter.
This man bribed a Supreme Court judge. On top of that, do you know how rich you have to be to buy a Supreme Court justice a black judge! And he owns half the inventory. We can all see Clarence Thomas, but he belongs to billionaire Harlan Crowe. And that’s what NFTs are.

Roy Wood Jr. said:
Scandals — Scandals have eaten into careers this year. The unruly Tucker Carlson is unemployed. have understood. Some celebrated. But I want Tucker’s staff to know that I know how you feel. I was blind.
….
President, we have to get Tucker back on the air. I don’t even know why millions of Americans hate you right now.
3).Attack on Kamala Harris
Roy Wood Jr. has called out misogynistic attacks on Vice President Kamala Harris: #WHCD pic.twitter.com/Ul07cxGBis
— Sarah Reese Jones (@PoliticusSarah) April 30, 2023
Wood Jr. said:
But I think the most insulting scandal that has fallen at the feet of the Biden administration has been placed at the feet of our Madame Vice President. Because no one asks the Vice President such questions until a woman is in office.
no one asked. I don’t know what Mike Pence did. The only thing I know about Mike Pence is that he’s really good at playing hide and seek in the Capitol. He knows all the nooks and crannies. Don’t point the camera at her with Mike Pence jokes. No—they’re trying to set you up. Do you know what they’re doing?
After all, as Vice President, the only thing you have to do is be better than Dick Cheney. Only better than Dick Cheney. They made a documentary about Dick Cheney. Now, I don’t know much about the Vice President’s job, but I do know if I can make a documentary about your time as Vice President. And if the job of vice president is really just waiting to step in to save the country in an emergency, then the job of vice president is the perfect job for a black woman. And whatever you accomplish, whatever you accomplish, all they’re trying to do is get you to acknowledge it.
The former comedian who has appeared on WHCD has described it as one of the toughest gigs, but one of the keys to success seems to be fearlessness. Roy Wood Jr. didn’t pull any punches. He went on to joke around and for most of his set they landed. He was funny rather than mean and very insightful.
That’s how the White House Correspondents’ Dinner was supposed to be.
